Fashion Design is my roots. My degree is in fashion design and I got started as a teen making prom dresses for my friends. My favorite part of fashion design is the technical aspect and functionality, making sure that it doesn't just look good, but moves well with the body. I'm a fabric, sewing and patternmaking nerd, and I love the complex geometry of creating garments. I have years of technical sewing and pattern making experience, and have also taught and communicated to others to complete accurate sewing work. I ran a fashion business for several years focusing on wedding and formal gowns, and I understand the complexity involved and the difficulty of the fashion business. I have used my skills of fashion design in other areas such as soft goods product design, manufacturing, illustration and jewelry design.
